Belonging Begins with Being Seen

Hi there, I’m Myriam – a relocation consultant, language professional, licensed insurance broker, and single mother of two. I help international families arrive in Germany with clarity, calm, and care. My work is deeply personal, shaped by my own story.

I grew up in Hamburg in a mixed-race family, with roots in Germany and Benin. People often asked where I was “really” from. They touched my hair, made assumptions, questioned whether I belonged. I didn’t always have the words for it, but I felt it: the pressure to fit into a mold I didn’t choose.

Today, I support others through their own journey of arrival – especially families of color. I offer more than relocation support. I offer understanding, honest guidance, and space for your full story.

My story is one of living and working across cultures. I spent time in the Dominican Republic during and after high school, then studied Multilingual Communication and Conference Interpreting in Cologne, Sydney (Australia), and Monterey (CA, USA). What always fascinated me most though, was medical and community interpreting – the challenges of making complex systems understandable and accessible for people.

I traveled the world as a flight attendant and later built my career in the language industry. When I returned to Hamburg – the city I grew up in – I had to rebuild my life from scratch, despite speaking the language and knowing the place. I had to learn that even in your “own” country, starting over is extremely hard.

During the first year of Covid, we went to live in Spain with our baby in order to be closer to my partner’s family. Later, I supported him through the full family reunification process in Germany.
Fast forward: Last year brought unexpected personal challenges that forced me to rethink everything, reflect deeply, reprioritize, and reimagine how I want to live, work, and support others. I realized I needed a more sustainable and family-friendly path that truly aligns with who I am and the life I want to build. I became a licensed insurance broker, joined a business mentoring program, and developed a new vision: to create a service that combines my intercultural experience, language expertise, and deep empathy — to support others through complex moments of transition.

In my work, I combine practical knowledge with lived experience: language support, orientation, independent insurance guidance, and the kind of presence that helps you feel safe and seen. Because settling in shouldn’t mean leaving parts of yourself behind.

🌱 If you’re a Black parent or a family of color planning to move to Germany – you deserve a relocation service that sees you, understands you, and truly supports your lived reality.

I bring both professional expertise and personal awareness to the table.

I won’t look away when racism happens – and I’ll make sure you’re not left alone.

🤎 Let’s talk. You’re welcome here.
